We’re looking for a Transdisciplinary Researcher who can move from complex questions to grounded insight, and from insight to decisions, concepts, and pilots. You’ll lead and support research that combines multiple disciplines and engages stakeholders (clients, users, partners, communities) to co-define problems, co-produce knowledge, and shape implementable solutions.

Once you join us, you will
1) Research design & delivery

  • Co-design research plans that blend methods (qualitative, quantitative, desk research, systems mapping, foresight inputs, participatory methods).

  • Conduct and synthesize interviews, focus groups, observations, surveys, and rapid field research.

  • Translate ambiguous problem spaces into clear hypotheses, learning questions, and evidence needs.

2) Transdisciplinary integration

  • Build “shared language” across experts and stakeholders; facilitate alignment on definitions, assumptions, and trade-offs.

  • Integrate evidence across disciplines (e.g., behavioral science, design, business strategy, policy, data/AI, education, sustainability).

  • Produce practical frameworks, mental models, and decision guides.

3) Co-creation & stakeholder engagement

  • Plan and facilitate workshops (discovery, co-design, validation, scenario sessions, design sprints).

  • Work with clients and partners to ensure research is culturally grounded, ethically sound, and context-aware.

  • Support partnership-based research with universities, NGOs, and industry.

4) Insight-to-action translation

  • Turn findings into strategic implications, opportunity areas, concept directions, and pilot recommendations.

  • Define what success looks like (outcomes, indicators, adoption signals) and support testing/validation.

  • Contribute to proposals, project narratives, and client-facing storytelling.
Relevant Experience and Mindset
Must-have
  • Strong research craft: ability to design, execute, and synthesize research with clarity and rigor.
  • Comfort working across disciplines and switching lenses (people, systems, data, strategy).
  • Facilitation and communication skills—able to lead workshops and bring diverse voices into alignment.
  • Excellent writing and storytelling (clean, structured, client-ready outputs).
  • Ethical reflexes: consent, privacy, power dynamics, representation, and responsible use of AI/tools.

Nice-to-have

  • Experience in one or more: strategic foresight, design thinking, service design, behavioral research, policy research, innovation consulting, evaluation/impact measurement.
  • Comfort with lightweight quant (survey design, descriptive stats) and/or research tooling (Airtable/Notion, Miro, Dovetail, etc.).
  • Sector familiarity in: education, technology, workforce, sustainability, health, or emerging markets.
