Insight & Experience Designer
Data Visualization × Strategic Storytelling × UX Concepts

Cairo, Egypt
In a Nutshell
We're looking for a Insight & Experience Designer — a role with a clear center of gravity in research communication and client deliverables, and the range to contribute to early-stage product thinking.
This is not a traditional UX role, or a pure data visualization role. You will design how research, data, and strategy come to life, as visual systems, decision tools, and when relevant, product concepts. Client deliverables are your primary output. Everything else extends from that.

ERGO is a human-centered strategy and innovation studio working at the intersection of research, design, foresight, and emerging technology. We work on complex, high-impact challenges across business, education, technology, and public systems — translating data, human behavior, and future trends into actionable strategies and products. Our work doesn't end at insight. We design how insight becomes decisions, systems, and experiences.
Once you join us, you will
1. Turn Data Into Decision Tools

  • Work directly with researchers to understand data, and formulate insights, before visualizing them
  • Translate research findings and datasets into dashboards, visual frameworks, and insight maps
  • Design outputs that help teams and clients see patterns and act on them

2. Design High-Impact Client Deliverables

  • Create presentations, infographics, journey maps, and system / ecosystem visuals
  • Develop interactive HTML outputs, leveraging AI tools where relevant
  • Bring clarity and structure to complex ideas

3. Bridge Research and Product

  • Support early-stage product prototyping
  • Work closely with researchers, strategists, and product thinkers
  • Translate insights into early-stage UX/UI concepts, user flows, and interface prototypes to support product direction and testing

What You'll Work On

  • Research and insight dashboards
  • Market and ecosystem visualizations
  • Client advisory and strategy deliverables
  • AI-powered visual tools and interfaces
Relevant Experience and Mindset
Must Have

  • 2–5 years in information design, data visualization, or research communication
  • Strong visual thinking —> ability to simplify complex systems and data
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Flourish, Datawrapper, Tableau, or similar)
  • Proficiency in at least one professional design tool for layout, presentations, and light prototyping (Figma, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, or similar)
  • Comfort working from ambiguous research outputs and early-stage concepts
  • A portfolio demonstrating analytical thinking, not just aesthetic craft
  • Professional-level English; ability to produce client-ready deliverables

Strong Advantage

  • Experience with AI-assisted design or interactive HTML output generation
  • UX/UI prototyping experience for web or mobile (Figma, Framer, or Webflow)
  • Experience in consulting, research, or analytics environments

Tools

  • You don't need all of these, but you should have a coherent stack and the instinct to learn the rest.
  • Design: Figma (required), Adobe Illustrator
  • Visualization: Flourish, Datawrapper, Tableau, Power BI
  • Data: Excel / Google Sheets (required), Python / R (a plus)
  • Prototyping: Figma, Framer, or Webflow
  • Ability to produce interactive HTML deliverables using AI-assisted workflows; no coding background required, but comfort reading and lightly editing generated code is a plus

Ideal Backgrounds
We're open to diverse profiles, including:

  • Data Visualization Designers with a strong client communication background
  • Information Designers with a systems thinking mindset
  • Research Designers who have worked in consulting or analytics environments
  • UX/Product Designers with significant experience in data-heavy, insight-driven work

What Makes You a Strong Fit

  • You don't just make things look good, you make them make sense
  • You enjoy working across research, strategy, and design without needing rigid boundaries
  • You can move between structured data and messy real-world problems
  • You think about what a decision-maker needs to understand before you create visuals
